With Nikola Jokic out of the lineup for much of the previous season, the Denver Nuggets made a notable free-agent acquisition on Saturday in an attempt to solve their frontcourt depth concerns.

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports that forward Dario Saric has agreed to a two-year contract with the Nuggets. The second year of the $10.6 million deal is player optional.

Saric, a lottery selection once, played for the Golden State Warriors the previous season, averaging 17.2 minutes per game, 8.0 points, and 4.4 rebounds.

Due to their severe lack of frontcourt depth the previous season, the Nuggets frequently had to rely on 35-year-old DeAndre Jordan to play when Jokic was sitting. Despite some further roster losses at other positions after the season’s conclusion, Saric should be a huge help in that respect.
